Performance

This three-row SUV comes standard with a robust 3.5-liter V-6 engine that generates 284 horsepower and 259 lb-ft of torque, backed by a nine-speed automatic transmission. Rock Creek models feature a slight power bump, resulting in 295 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque. Four-wheel drive (4WD) is standard on the Rock Creek and available on all other grades. Fuel economy is nearly the same for front-wheel drive (FWD) and 4WD, with each getting 23 combined mpg in most grades. FWD city/highway mpg is 21/27, respectively, and 20/27 for AWD models. Exceptions are the Platinum 4WD grade, which has a city/hwy/combined rating of 20/25/22, and the Rock Creek with its larger tires delivers 20/23/21.  

If you upgrade your Pathfinder to the Intelligent 4WD system, you get a set of seven drive modes, including off-road-focused Sand and Mud/Rut modes. The Pathfinder has refined suspension technology and increased sound-deadening material to create a relaxed and comfortable experience in the cabin, even during off-road adventures. The Pathfinder can tow up to 6000 pounds, meaning you can carry everyone and your toys wherever you need.  

Exterior

The exterior of the Pathfinder retains the rugged and contemporary design of the fifth-generation Pathfinder introduced in 2023. A unique LED headlight and DRL combination accompany the Nissan “Yoke” grille. The body has a squared-off stance and is available with two-tone color combinations. There are nine exterior colors for the 2025 Pathfinder, including four across the white, silver gray, and black spectrum, plus a red, blue, green brown, and a unique orange. 

Interior

The interior of the Pathfinder is as roomy as it is stylish. The Pathfinder is full of high-quality materials and comfortable touch points that create an inviting and durable space that is sure to last. The cabin technology is also impressive, with a long list of standard and available features and accessories. The EZ FLEX® second-row seats both tip and slide with Nissan’s LATCH AND GLIDE® technology, enabling them to tip and slide for access to the third row even when a child safety seat is installed. Behind the third row is 16.6 cubic feet of cargo space, expanding to 80.5 cubic feet when both second and third rows are lowered. 

Technology

The 8.0-inch infotainment touchscreen comes standard and runs the latest version of the NissanConnect software interface. You can opt to upgrade to a 9.0-inch display or choose a higher trim level where it comes standard.   

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration are standard across the board, with wireless connection on LS and Platinum grades, as well as a 12.3-inch digital gauge display, onboard Wi-Fi hotspot, wireless smartphone charging pad, and more.  

Safety and Driver Assistance

The 2025 Nissan Pathfinder comes jammed-packed with safety and driver-assist features to prevent crashes. Every grade has standard Nissan Safety Shield® 360, a suite of technologies that includes:

The Pathfinder is also available with ProPILOT Assist driver assistance, enabling hands-free driving in two grades for nearly fifteen seconds. You can upgrade the ProPILOT Assist to include Navi-Link for navigational assists that interpret map data to slow the vehicle down when turns are approaching and adapt the Pathfinder to the posted speed limit.   

The 2025 Pathfinder has earned a 5-star overall rating from the NHTSA, its highest rating. While the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety (IIHS) has not yet rated the 2025 model, the mechanically identical 2024 Pathfinder earned the highest rating as a TOP SAFETY PICK+.
