2024 Armada vs 2025 Armada
Nissan gave its full-size flagship SUV a big glow-up for the 2025 model year. The Armada gained a new engine, refreshed styling, and more tech, helping to keep it competitive against a ferocious group of competitors.
2025 Nissan Armada Powertrain Updates
The Armada carried a V-8 engine for a long time, offering a capable standard engine that many SUVs could only dream of. The V-8 is out for 2025, but in its place is a smaller, more powerful twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 engine making 425 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. While acceleration remains close to 2024’s numbers, the Armada gained a few mpg, up to 16/20 mpg city/highway with rear-wheel drive.
2025 Nissan Armada Off-Road Updates
While the Armada has always been available with four-wheel drive, it has generally leaned far harder into the luxury side of the spectrum. It’s still a plush family hauler in 2025, but the SUV gained a new Pro-4X trim that brings 20-inch wheels, skid plates, and plastic body armor. It also has a unique black grille and bumpers that aid its off-road approach and departure angles. Finally, Nissan included an adjustable air suspension that enables ground clearance of up to 9.6 inches, almost half an inch higher than the standard model.
2025 Nissan Armada Tech Updates
The 2025 Armada gained new tech features over its predecessor, including a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster to accompany its existing 12.3-inch touchscreen. Top trims step up to two 14.3-inch screens, and all Armadas come with wireless smartphone mirroring through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Nissan also equips a surround-view camera system for most models, and buyers can opt for a dashcam and head-up display.
2025 Nissan Armada Safety Upgrades
The Armada was already a safe SUV that offered a range of driver assistance features, but the 2025 model year brings an upgrade with Nissan’s ProPilot Assist 2.1 system, which brings hands-free adaptive cruise control on several limited-access highways. Like other vehicles, the Armada uses sensors to ensure the driver is paying attention and ready to take control at any time.
Nissan hasn’t released full pricing for 2025 yet, but the new model should land close to the 2024 SUV’s $56,520 starting price. The Pro-4X model will likely be one of the top trims, so expect pricing that extends past $72,000 for the most expensive variants.
