Meet The All New 2025 Nissan Murano
If you’re looking for something a little more spacious than the Nissan Rogue but don’t need (or want) something with three rows, the redesigned 2025 Nissan Murano may be just what you’re looking for. Boasting a midsize interior and manageable two-row footprint, it’s the perfect crossover SUV for the buyer who wants a stylish ride that doesn’t spill out of the garage – or break the bank.
Nissan went back to the drawing board for the 2025 Murano. The result is a clean-sheet redesign built around the company’s much-acclaimed Variable-Compression Turbo engine. The 2.0-liter four-cylinder in the Murano makes 241 horsepower and 261 pound-feet of torque. That power flows through a conventional, nine-speed automatic transmission; the continuously variable transmission that previously came standard is no longer offered. The new configuration is estimated to return 23 miles per gallon in the city, 24 mpg on the highway, and 23 mpg combined.
The new Murano’s exterior is sharper and more chiseled, looking almost EV-like. The sporty looks can be augmented with blue and red paint finishes alongside some more muted options. A new 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen display anchors the updated interior, which is available with semi-aniline leather, massaging front seats, and heated rear seats.
Since the Murano offers a midsize cabin without the intrusion of a third row of seats, its rear bench and cargo space are both quite generous. The rear seat offers 36.3 inches of passenger legroom, 58.5 inches of shoulder room, and 56.9 inches of hip room. With the second-row seat upright, the Murano offers 32.9 cubic feet of cargo room. Drop the seat, and that capacity expands to 63.5 cubic feet, rivaling some wagons and larger crossovers.
The 2025 Murano comes in three flavors: SV, SL, and Platinum. All-wheel drive is optional on the SV and standard on the SL and Platinum. Standard equipment on the SV includes 20-inch wheels, a power liftgate, power-adjustable front seats, synthetic leather, Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a digital gauge cluster. 21-inch wheels are optional on the SV and SL and standard on the Platinum.
The Nissan ProPILOT Assist safety suite comes standard on all 2025 Muranos. It includes adaptive cruise control, blind spot warning with intervention, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, and many other tech-driven safety items.
