Nissan can add yet another accolade to its enormous trophy case. The 2024-2025  Automotive Reputation North American automotive industry report found that the automaker is yet again among the top five non-luxury brands in customer engagement and feedback metrics. Nissan took third place in this year’s report with a score of 705 (out of 1,000).

“The report analyzed 5.5 million car buyers to reveal insights into the evolving sentiment of auto consumers, the power of reviews to propel car sales, and what it takes to be a top dealership globally,” Reputation said in its announcement.

“Using data analysis from Reputation’s AI-powered platform, as well as an annual survey that analyzes consumers’ purchasing preferences, the report found that auto brands prioritizing reputation management see rapid returns, with improved customer satisfaction translating directly into revenue growth,” it said.

Nissan said it continues to prioritize delivering customer-focused initiatives that enhance the buying and ownership experience.

“Products and services like NISSAN ENERGY Charge Network, SignatureFLEX, Nissan@Home and Second Delivery reflect the company’s commitment to meeting and exceeding consumer expectations,” Nissan said in its announcement.

Rounding out the top three were Subaru (at #1) and Honda (at #2). Nissan’s luxury subsidiary, INFINITI, managed to take second place among U.S. luxury brands, ahead of Audi and behind Lexus.

“Automotive businesses can improve their market position by adopting a comprehensive reputation management strategy that goes beyond traditional marketing,” Reputation said.

“Successful dealers are also tailoring customer experiences through personalized communication and using consumer data as a strategic tool for continuous improvement.”

Reputation ranks manufacturers in both the mainstream and luxury brand spaces based on a proprietary algorithm that rates brand performance based on publicly available data, the company says. A rundown of the 2024-2025 rankings follows.
