Aurora Blue Metallic Is the Best New Shade for Your Nissan
Driving around town, you often see the same car colors these days. According to new research, roughly 80% of all new cars are silver or grey, white, and black. This marks a 20% increase since 2004, leading Nissan to try something different with the all-new 2025 Murano.
An All-New Shade for the All-New Murano
Aurora Blue Metallic isn’t just a new blue exterior color for the Murano. It’s a statement against boring colors. Developing a new color isn’t just a walk in the park. It has to be developed to meet the standards that Nissan has set for its paint codes. Additionally, the designers want these colors to not just pop visually but create a conversation about the vehicle’s design. Overall, the new paint option really shows off the updated styling of the new Nissan crossover.

A Word from Nissan
“The Murano name comes from an island in Italy, so something inspired by the ocean made sense,” said Yasuhito Oba, a color designer in Nissan’s Advanced Design Department. “This color shares shades of blue found in the sea. A blue aluminum flake enhances the depth of the blue, while a color-shifting flake brings out reddish shades,” he said. “Even in dark conditions, it has nuance…it looks like an intense, dark blue—again, reminiscent of the ocean.”
Any Time of Day Provides a Unique Color Experience
Because the Aurora Blue Metallic paint shows differently at various times of the day, the design of the Murano doesn’t feel just like any other crossover. It looks exciting and luxurious.
Starting Price, Trim Levels, and Engine
The 2025 Nissan Murano starts from $41,680 and is available in SV, SL, and Premium trim levels. It is powered by a 2.0-liter Variable-Compression Turbocharger (VC-Turbo) engine that produces 241 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque that is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. The engine and transmission combination allow the Murano to feel light on its feet and torquey when needed without compromising luxury and peace. The available Intelligent All-Wheel Drive system keeps the Murano planted to the road in all conditions.
Features and Options
Buyers can choose from 12 different exterior colors, including a number of two-tone colors that have black roofs. The interior features heated and ventilated massaging front seats, 64-color ambient lighting, and Nissan Zero Gravity Seats that reduce fatigue in normal and long-distance driving. The standard dual 12.3-inch infotainment and gauge cluster displays offer loads of information and entertainment with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with Google Built-In. Platinum trims come with a color head-up display that provides the information you need most while driving so you don’t have to take your eyes off the road.
