In a recent review by Motor1, they said of the Rogue, “It’s a damn-good compact SUV.” With a 1.5-liter VC-Turbo 3-cylinder engine that puts out 201 horsepower and 225 lb-ft of torque, the crossover gives owners plenty of power and torque for everyday driving duties. The continuously variable transmission, or CVT, helps the Rogue achieve 30 mpg in the city and 37 on the highway with standard front-wheel drive, or 28 and 35, respectively, with all-wheel drive. Opting for the top-of-the-line Platinum trim sees 34 highway mpg.  

2025 Rogue Trims and Pricing 

For 2025, Nissan offers the Rogue in five different trim levels, including the S, SV, Rock Creek, SL, and Platinum. The company has also dropped the price of the Rogue to help those who have been impacted by the rough economy, with the base S trim starting from just $29,980, a $640 discount. The Rock Creek edition sees the most significant discount of $1,930 compared to the 2024 model.  

How Does the Rogue Drive? 

While the Rogue looks great, the real winner is how well it drives. Motor1 found it to be a truly fantastic vehicle when it came to suspension performance over all types of surfaces, saying, “The optional 19-inch wheels are barely a hit to the ride quality. The Rogue skips over broken pavement, glides over speed bumps, and is absolutely silky smooth on the highway. The quilted leather seats standard on this Platinum model are form-fitting and comfy enough for hours behind the wheel.”

S, SV, and Rock Creek models come standard with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and SiriusXM. SL and Platinum models feature a 12.3-inch touchscreen with Google Built-in that utilizes Google apps to enhance your experience.

Platinum models also get a 3D Intelligent Around View Monitor, and the optional Technology Package that adds Front Wide View and a 176-degree view. Nissan puts useful technology front and center to make the Rogue that much better than it already was for customers.

But it’s not just the driver that gets all the love and attention. Rear passengers also get treated to a large and comfortable area as described by Motor1: “The second row feels expansive—at least, for a compact crossover—with 38.5 inches of rear legroom. That’s more than what Toyota offers in the RAV4 (37.8 inches) … The Rogue’s 39.2 inches of rear headroom are also slightly less than the competition’s … Two adults can sit in the second row comfortably for hours on end, and on this Platinum, they can warm their butts with standard heated seats.”
