Nissan’s Invisible Hood View tech named ‘Best New Feature’ by Texas Auto Writers Association

For 2025, TAWA, the Texas Auto Writers Association, has awarded Nissan the Best New Feature award for its revolutionary Invisible Hood View feature, which is available on the all-new 2025 Nissan Armada, all-new 2025 Murano, and all-new 2025 Rogue.  

A Perfect Way to View the Outside World 

Invisible Hood View uses cameras positioned in key spots to display an image on the vehicle’s infotainment screen that appears to look through the hood and front end to see obstacles in front of or near the front of your Nissan. This feature is perfect for off-roading, driving into car washes that have tracks and curbs, or especially pulling into a garage with lots of items.  

Multiple Unique Camera Technologies 

Nissan has engineered multiple different camera technologies that help drivers have an easier time driving in general. With Front Wide View, you can see around bushes, buildings, pillars, etc., when driving through narrow streets, parking garages, or at an intersection where you have to turn left. Furthermore, the available 3D Intelligent Around View Monitor allows you to touch the infotainment screen to flip the 3D view of your Nissan to see a full 360-degree view, ensuring there are no blind spots when parking or driving in tight areas.  

Meet The 2025 Armada 

The all-new 2025 Nissan Armada is powered by a unique 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 that is shared with the Nissan GT-R. This special motor delivers 425 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque and helps the flagship Nissan build power quickly and efficiently. The Armada is able to tow up to 8,500 lbs when properly equipped, thanks in part to its engine and the inclusion of a 9-speed automatic transmission that keeps you in the right gear for the moment. The Armada starts from $59,530 and is available in SV, SL, Platinum, PRO-4X, and Platinum Reserve.  

Meet The 2025 Murano 

The 2025 Murano is also all-new and arrives with a VC-Turbo 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 that produces 241 horsepower and 261 lb-ft of torque. Like the Armada, it features a 9-speed automatic. The EPA says that both the FWD and AWD 2025 Murano will achieve 21 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway, with 23 mpg combined. The Murano is offered in SV, SL, and Platinum and starts from $41,860. 

Meet The 2025 Rogue 

While the Rogue isn’t all-new for 2025, it certainly features some appreciated upgrades, including a new 1.5-liter VC-Turbo that puts out 201 horsepower and 225 lb-ft of torque. The Rogue starts from $29,980 and is available in S, SV, Rock Creek, SL, and Platinum. The EPA says the Rogue will achieve 30 mpg in the city and 37 on the highway with standard front-wheel drive, or 28 and 35, respectively, with all-wheel drive. The top-of-the-line Platinum trim sees 34 highway mpg.
