Nissan has pulled the cover off the first-ever Armada Nismo, an SUV with more than just luxury and technology.

It’s all about giving drivers more of what they’re looking for,” said Vinay Shahani, senior vice president of U.S. Marketing and Sales at Nissan. “No matter where you’re headed—on the highway, off the beaten path, or way off the grid—there’s an Armada built for the journey.” 

More Power Equals More Fun 

The Nismo model gets a bump of 35 horsepower to now feature 460 hp from its GTR-derived 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 engine. A nine-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive are featured. The Armada Nismo is also louder thanks to a specially designed exhaust that is less restrictive. Additionally, it handles more like a sports car thanks to Adaptive Electronic Air Suspension and a tweaked power steering system. Forged wheels wrapped in high performance rubber keep up with its sporty demands.  

The Exterior and Interior Tell Their Own Stories 

Customers will love the addition of the Nismo exclusive front and rear fascia, grille, rear spoiler, and side steps. Fender flares and red brake calipers show that this isn’t just some poser performance SUV. When stepping inside, customers will be greeted with quilted leather with red accents, aluminum pedals, and front seats with adjustable side bolsters. 

Still One of the Best Tow Vehicles 

Amazingly, even with all of these add-ons and the tuning of the vehicle to make it turn, stop, and go better, the 2026 Nissan Armada Nismo is still able to tow up to 8,500 pounds, just like every other model. Most performance-style SUVs have their towing capabilities cut for various reasons.
